Mark helpful. Ok for the seat air bag you need a 2.2ohm 1/2 watt 5% tolerance resistor per seat. Hook up the resistor between the Blue and Black wires, the brown is left alone. To bypass the pressure sensor you will need to get Qty.3 (8.2k ohm 1./2 5% tolerance resistors) you can fully remove the pressure system and still have the air bag working w/o lights.
The airbag light went on. I know it does this when you put new seats in, but when I ran a vag-com for it, we couldn't figure out how to get it to reset. We tried the vag-com and also a generic scanner and both were to no avail. It was saying code diagnostics were that it wasn't getting enough current, or that the current didn't match up.

Nov 11, 2008. #8. You can go to Address 19 - CAN gateway and subtract the airbag value from the coding. Pull the airbag supply fuse to prevent CAN messages from reaching the cluster and causing the CAN gateway to throw a "module incorrectly coded" fault (though there will be no warning lamp).
