The RGB cables on ALL the fans are connected into Corsair Lighting Control Node Pros which all then are connected into the Corsair Commander Pro. The Corsair Commmander Pro is connected into the motherboard via USB." In iCUE I see My k70 keyboard, my m65, my mm8000, the Vengenace RGB Pro Ram, Obsidian 1000D, 1 lightning node, and 1 lightning
As it is, the lighting node pro comes with 2 channels, 1 channel will handle upto 6 Corsair (proprietary connectors) ARGB fans via the included hub, the other channel can power upto 4 ARGB strips (included). The Only reason to get the Commander would be IF you wanted the Corsair software to also monitor/control fan speeds.1. Have a commander pro, open iCue on CoPro tab. 2. Open HWinfo64. 3. 'Performance' tab vanishes, CoPro freezes locking fan speeds where they are (not fun if you have a zero RPM at idle like i do) 4. CoPro does NOT come back online without a full power down of the system - even a restart doesn't recover it. Mar 11, 2021. #6. For me found settings curves in icue very easy and simple. Run the commander pro with 6 LL120's and have 3 other rgb connect to lighting nodes. Found same thing that default fan profiles too aggressive for my liking. Setup custom curves that make pc much happier and quiet. Have fan spin as low as 850 up to 2000rpm at 70c.
That part is normal. Once it was required for the pump to be on #6 of the Commander Pro if you wanted to use the Corsair Pump preset curve. It should now work on any header after running the Hydro X Wizard mentioned above. However, first try setting fan #6 from "auto" to 4 pin in the Commander Pro settings.
Connect the 2 4pin RGB to the B side, Connect the 3pin and 4pin fan to the A side. Open up icue, select the XT and run the lighting setup. This still does not light up the block nor does it allow icue to detect the lights for the block. I have it all plugged into the commander cord xt. Icue pics up all the fans and the core blocks speed however
TLDR; I'm 2 from 2 with successfully using 3rd party ARGB components with a Commander Pro and ICUE. Others might want to chime in with their experiences but I've done this with a Commander Pro. I've used PirateDog Tech (adapter) cables to control a Phanteks D140 distro plate and am currently using one to control the ARGB on my EK 3090 waterblock.
Commander pro cant control fan speed. Click Device settings and set ports to 3pin or 4 pin, the fans should show up in the cooling tab after 30 seconds if not restart icue. It can’t!
