This battery is about £80 from Mercedes. However, it turns out it is a motorcycle battery equivalent and available from many sources eg Ebay for about £40 (or less with a bit of pfaff) One that is compatible is the YTX14-BS available from many manufacturers. I got one and it dropped straight in and solved the problem.

Sep 13, 2019. #4. There are several things it could be not all of which are expensive. Antifreeze in the oil, failing conductor plate, failing torque converter, failing box, bad propshaft couplings, bad engine mounts can all cause strange vibrations and/or oddball behaviours. Instructions on how to check transmission fluid on a Mercedes Benz. Step by step with pictures and video. Warm up the car. To measure the transmission fluid correctly, the temperature must be at least 80 degrees Celsius. To get the transmission to that temperature, you must drive the car for 15 minutes before you check the fluid. You may not need a full rebuild, but I certainly did. Good luck! Reduced noise and made some of the vibrations go away. Sometimes it depends on the tilt of the car - on a hill or parked flat. When parked flat it seems smooth as silk. For vibrations when stopped in drive you should change your transmission fluid, use the old style fluid 736.10, not the new style 736.14.
